The little mouse cannot
The little mouse cannot
Bite me it cannot
Bit me it cannot, the little mouse

Father is crying
Mother has been usurped by matters of rights
She has forgotten love
She only sees rights
She wants rights, she doesn’t want love
She doesn’t want love, she just wants rights

Father is crying
He is not right producing house
But mother just wants rights
And so does my sister, she just wants rights
But she cannot cook nsima
Not even vegetable relish, this is foolish
What kind of rights stops you from cooking
A rat that sits on the bread is difficult to kill
Father is outraged
If it is possible, this rat will be killed
And eaten like Ntika the mice

Father is crying
He is capable of love but not rights
Given rights always have an end
Because they are manmade
Mother’s name is now the maid
The very maidenhood that is burren
For her to conceive she wants a maid
And years are passing by she can;t conceive
She doesn’t want love she says it is immesurable
She just wants rights because they can be quantified

Father is crying …
We have lost our mother in matters of rights
We are all human above and before our gender
But matters of rights are telling her otherwise
That she is human because she is a woman
Life has no gender
Life is humanness, the humanity of every human
Earthlings, citizens of the world living in love of one another
